iOna Speedway has documented its share of history. Constructed in 1962, West Virginia’s only remaining pavement short track hosted the NASCAR Cup Series with drivers Fred Lorenzon and “The King” Richard Petty finding their way to victory lane. The famous television personality Dick Clark even partly owned the facility, located between Huntington and the state capital Charleston, later that decade.

Michigan NASCAR drivers Erik Jones and Carson Hocevar are set for one of Wisconsin’s biggest short-track races

In a season without a NASCAR national race of any type in Wisconsin, two Michigan-born Cup Series drivers have found an excuse to race in the Badger state.

The Kenyon Midget Series heads back to Michigan for a doubleheader weekend. Friday night it’s Kalamazoo Speedway, and Saturday it’s Owosso Speedway. Both races are in conjunction with the 500 Sprint Car Tour.

Wednesday July 30th...The second half of the 2025 season gets underway this weekend as Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas), Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) and Ligier Junior Formula Championship (Ligier JFC) head to New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP). Joining Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA), Formula Race Promotions and Skip Barber for three days of on-track action, fans are invited in the open paddocks to meet drivers and collect autographs, or even to participate in Saturday’s Hagerty Cars and Caffeine Car Show with parade laps around the 2.25-mile circuit. Tuesday July 29th...For the first and only time in 2025, the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America series competes over four days at the 4.048-mile Road America circuit. Competitors tested in July in advance of the weekend with practice and qualifying split between Thursday and Friday, and the two 50-minute races taking place on Saturday and Sunday. The series returns to the track for the first time since 2023 after skipping 2024.

Tuesday July 29th...The SoCal Lightning Sprint Car Series is set for its biggest weekend of the 2025 season as it rolls into Barona Speedway for the 1st Annual SoCal Summer Shootout this Friday and Saturday, August 1–2.
