Joey Logano dominates return to points racing at North Wilkesboro

Sunday July 19th Joey Logano had a gleam in his eye and a lilt in his voice as he readied to climb into the No. 22 Team Penske Ford for the start of Sunday night’s Window World 450.

“I think we have a fast car,” Logano opined optimistically before taking the green flag in the first NASCAR Cup Series points race at North Wilkesboro Speedway in 30 years.


Sunday July 19th  Matteo Nannini earned his second victory of the INDY NXT by Firestone season in the Music City Grand Prix on Sunday at Nashville Superspeedway, and this one meant much more than his first.

Pole sitter Nannini led a 1-2 finish for Cape Motorsports Powered by ECR, driving his No. 20 Enve Motorsports car to a 5.6449-second victory over teammate Nikita Johnson in the No. 21 machine. It was his third career victory in the INDYCAR development series and the first 1-2 finish ever for the longtime junior formula standout Cape team in INDY NXT competition.


Sunday July 19th - A downpour swept through Middle Tennessee on Sunday evening, ending track drying at Nashville Superspeedway from earlier storms and forcing the postponement of the Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix presented by OnlyBulls to 3 p.m. ET Monday, July 20.

FOX, FOX One and INDYCAR Radio powered by OnlyBulls will broadcast the 300-lap race NTT INDYCAR SERIES race live.

 Sunday July 19th - Funny Car newcomer Jordan Vandergriff won for the second time this season for John Force Racing in front of a sellout crowd on Sunday at Sonoma Raceway, defeating Daniel Wilkerson in the final round of the Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals presented by PowerEdge.


 

Doug Kalitta (Top Fuel) and Greg Stanfield (Pro Stock) also won at the 11th of 20 races during the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season as NHRA celebrated three straight days of sellout crowds at the standout facility.

That’s pretty much the antithesis of how Briggs Danner truly felt entering Sunday afternoon’s 34th running of the Rich Vogler Classic at Indiana’s Winchester Speedway.

 

After all, Danner’s seat in the Doran-Swanson Racing No. 77 pavement car was formerly occupied by the ultimate USAC Silver Crown king, Kody Swanson.

 

 

 

 

Chandler Smith races to dominant NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series win

Saturday July 18th Last year at North Wilkesboro Speedway, Chandler Smith led one lap in winning the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series over Front Row Motorsports teammate Layne Riggs.

In sharp contrast, Smith was the quintessence of dominance on Saturday, leading the final 105 laps to claim victory in the FaithFest 250 presented by Mercer Transportation, again with series leader Riggs securing second place.

Last year’s race ended under caution, after the trucks of Riggs and Corey Heim collided on the last lap. On Saturday, Smith ran away with the race in the final stage, beating Riggs to the finish line by 8.479 seconds—a record margin on a short track in Truck Series history.


Saturday July 18th Ricky Thornton Jr. won the 16th Annual Al Belt Custom Homes Silver Dollar Nationals on Saturday night at Shelby County Speedway, leading all 80 laps to become the 12th different driver to win the crown jewel event. Thornton, a Chandler, Arizona, native who now resides in Indianola, Iowa, earned $52,000 for the victory in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned event.

 

Jonathan Davenport, the only three-time winner in the event’s history, which began in 2011, gained two positions after the race’s lone caution with 70 laps complete. Davenport, who was running fourth before the yellow, passed both Brian Shirley and Bobby Pierce to earn the runner-up finish and $53,000.

Saturday July 18th The Posse-Posse chants rocked the Eldora Speedway stands on Saturday night.

The huge crowd had just seen history made after a thrilling conclusion to the 43rd running of the Kings Royal. Anthony Macri wore the crown for the second year in a row, but the path to the throne proved to be much more difficult in 2026.


Xavier Doney Drives to Victory with POWRi 410 Outlaw Sprints at 81 Speedway

Saturday July 18th Xavier Doney found the fastest way around 81 Speedway with the POWRi Honest Abe Roofing 410 Outlaw Sprint League, leading thirteen of twenty-five feature laps to earn his fifth career league victory in a thrilling series debut before a packed capacity crowd.


Opening the evening’s action, Dylan Bloomfield paced qualifying with his third quick time of the season at 13.926 seconds, while Ayrton Gennetten and Miles Paulus each claimed heat race victories
.

Saturday July 18th Top Fuel points leader Shawn Langdon rolled to another big Saturday in front of a capacity crowd at Sonoma Raceway, winning the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge as part of this weekend’s Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals presented by PowerEdge.


GAIGE HERRERA DOMINATES EN ROUTE TO GETTRX PRO STOCK MOTORCYCLE ALL-STAR CALLOUT WIN


 
Saturday July 18th Two-time Pro Stock Motorcycle world champion Gaige Herrera put together a dominant Saturday at Sonoma Raceway, rolling to the victory over teammate Richard Gadson in the final round of the GETTRX Pro Stock Motorcycle All-Star Callout.


The single-day bonus race took place on Saturday after two time trial runs on Friday and Herrera was on another level over three rounds on his RevZilla/Motul/Vance & Hines Suzuki, going 6.689-seconds at 202.15 mph.


 

 

Saturday July 18th Kyle Kirkwood and Andretti Global delivered a mighty qualifying effort Saturday at Nashville Superspeedway, edging oval master Josef Newgarden to win the NTT P1 Award for the Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix presented by OnlyBulls.

Kirkwood earned his first pole of the season and fourth of his NTT INDYCAR SERIES career with a two-lap average speed of 196.852 mph in the No. 27 Sam’s Club Honda. That dramatic run, the second-to-last in the qualifying order, validated the speed Kirkwood showed by leading practice Saturday morning on the 1.33-mile concrete oval.


 

Saturday July 18th The wait was worth it for Matteo Nannini, in more ways than one.

Nannini earned his first pole of this season and the second of his INDY NXT by Firestone career Saturday by taking the top spot for the Music City Grand Prix at Nashville Superspeedway. He turned a two-lap average speed of 177.427 mph in the No. 20 Enve Motorsports car fielded by Cape Motorsports Powered by ECR.

Corey Day doesn’t get to drive Sprint Cars too often these days, but he sure makes the most of the opportunities when they come.

The Clovis, CA native spends most weekends wheeling for Hendrick Motorsports in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series as he climbs through the elite levels of pavement racing. But he’ll never forget where he came from. Sprint Cars remain close to heart, and he jumps back in the Jason Meyers Racing ride whenever time permits.

Funny Car’s Jordan Vandergriff made the quickest Funny Car run of the 2026 season on Friday in front of a huge Sonoma Raceway crowd, taking the provisional No. 1 qualifier spot for John Force Racing at the Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals presented by PowerEdge.


Doug Kalitta (Top Fuel) and Chris Vang (Pro Stock) are also the provisional No. 1 qualifiers in Sonoma at the 11th of 20 races during the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season. After an oildown during the second Top Fuel session, racing was called for the night due to curfew.


Friday night's Silver Dollar Nationals passing points format featured double heat races, each paying $2,000 to win, for the 54 competitors signed in for the event.

 

With 10 heat races contested, there were no repeat winners as Ricky Thornton Jr. and Bobby Pierce emerged as the front-row starters for Saturday night's 16th Al Belt Custom Homes Silver Dollar Nationals finale.


Landon Crawley Claims First Checkers with POWRi 410 Outlaw Sprints at Arrowhead Speedway

Colcord, OK. (7/17/26) — Landon Crawley flexed his racing muscles Friday night at Arrowhead Speedway, leading the final eleven laps to earn his first career POWRi Honest Abe Roofing 410 Outlaw Sprint League victory.


Launching the night’s action with a stout field of competitors, Blake Hahn set quick time with a lap of 11.232 seconds, while Joe B. Miller and Dylan Bloomfield each claimed heat race victories.

Brandon Sheppard capitalized on a fierce battle between Ryan Gustin and Devin Moran, slipping past both drivers with six laps remaining to capture Thursday night's Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned Malvern Bank Go 50 at Shelby County Speedway.

 

Mat Williamson Outduels Mike Mahaney to Capture Dale Planck Memorial at Utica-Rome

 In a battle between the top two drivers in the DIRTcar 358 Modified Series standings, Mat Williamson got the upper hand Wednesday at Utica-Rome Speedway.

The St. Catharines, ON driver passed Mike Mahaney on a Lap 43 restart and never looked back to win the Dale Planck Memorial, becoming 2026’s first repeat winner.


 Tuesday July 14th -   Bobby Pierce of Oakwood, Illinois, charged from the 12th starting position to pass Nick Hoffman for the lead on lap 35 and race to a $15,000 victory in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series debut at Adams County Speedway on Tuesday night.

 

The victory came in the biggest race in the speedway's history and marked the first appearance by a national touring series at Adams County Speedway since the Hav-A-Tampa Racing Series competed there on August 22, 2000.

Tuesday July 14th -  Sometimes real life provides moments you couldn’t script better in fiction.

That was exactly the case Tuesday night at Attica Raceway Park’s Ohio Logistics Brad Doty Classic presented by dac Vitamins and Minerals. The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars came to town for the event saluting an Ohio legend during a huge week of Ohio Sprint Car racing at the home of “Ohio’s Finest Racing.”

In other words, it’s a pretty big night for Ohio.
