Tops Alphabet Soup Event at I-80
GREENWOOD,
Neb. (July 2, 2008) – Terry Phillips topped a 72-car field on
Wednesday to win the O'Reilly NCRA Presented by ICM/Ethanol Late Model
series event at I-80 Speedway.
The annual Alphabet Soup event that is co-sanctioned by NCRA, TORA,
MLRA, SLMR, WDRL brings some of the best drivers in the country
together for one race, but it was Phillips who came away with the win
in this years event.
Phillips picked up the lead after early leader John Anderson suffered
mechanical failure. Phillips logged his eleventh career NCRA victory.
Points leader Kyle Berck battled in the top five throughout the race

Buckwalter Steals Susky Non-Stop ARDC Feature
Newberrytown, Pa. - Susquehanna Speedway Park promoter Todd Fisher and the
entire SSP staff were hustling through Thursday night's program as quickly as
they could with rain in the area. They needed all the help they could get from
the ARDC drivers and the ARDC pilots delivered with 20-lap feature that ran
caution free. Caution free features are great for promoters and fans, but for
front running drivers who are handicapped to the middle of the pack -- like
eventual winner Steve Buckwalter -- they make the job that much more
challenging. Buckwalter started 10th, picked his way through the field and dove
